This year too, we are happy to take part with the kids from Magione in the ‘Calciando in Rete’ tournament, promoted and organized by the San Giovanni Apostolo Cultural Association Onlus of Palermo, in collaboration with other social organizations working in the city’s at-risk neighborhoods.
Calciando in Rete is a community we feel part of, sharing its values and daily commitment. A commitment dedicated to young people in Palermo who experience social marginalization and educational poverty.
The Addiopizzo team is made up of 25 boys and girls born between 2012 and 2015, all eager to play and have fun. The tournament represents not only an opportunity to shine as a team, but also an important moment of socialization, allowing them to step outside their own neighborhoods and meet peers who share the same passion.
Yesterday, we played our eighth home match, facing the Centro Tau team at the San Basilio gym of the Rita Borsellino Comprehensive Institute in Piazza Magione. The dedication, grit, and tenacity shown by our players throughout all 60 minutes of the game led to a hard-fought victory!
A wave of emotions always accompanies us in this magical sport, which means freedom and creativity, but above all allows one’s inspiration to flow freely. Beyond results and rankings, what matters most to us is that the kids live these precious experiences and express themselves freely and confidently.
