The season of the Mafia massacres of the Eighties and Nineties, bitterly paid with the price of the lives of many, too many valiant representatives of institutions and civil society, isolated victims of mafia violence, left us an important teaching:
the fight against the cultural and material domination of the Cosa Nostra in Sicily can only be successful if conducted collectively.
Addiopizzo contributed to the creation of a grass-roots campaign that unites economic operators and citizen-consumers in resisting the Mafia extortion racket and the connected Mafia power system.
Each of us is called to make his contribution to rebel against it.

All donations made in favor of the Association “Comitato Addiopizzo” APS are tax-deductible or eligible for tax credits within the limits established by law, provided they are made via bank transfers, postal account deposits, non-transferable cashier’s or bank checks payable to the Association “Comitato Addiopizzo” O.d.V., or credit cards, including prepaid ones.
Addiopizzo is a voluntary organization (O.d.V.) and, as such, a legally recognized NPO (non-profit organization of social utility) pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 460/97. Following the enactment of Legislative Decree 117/2017 (the so-called Third Sector Code), it has adapted its bylaws accordingly. Being registered in the regional register of voluntary organizations, it qualifies as a Third Sector Entity (E.T.S.) and is now registered in the National Single Register of the Third Sector (R.U.N.T.S.).
Tax benefits for individuals are subject to the submission of a tax return.

Donations in cash or in kind made by individuals, entities, or companies in favor of Addiopizzo are deductible up to 10% of the donor’s total declared income for the year in which the donation was made, using the methods indicated above. Any excess amount may be carried forward and deducted in subsequent years, but no later than the fourth year.

Cash donations made by individuals up to an amount of €30,000 in favor of Addiopizzo entitle the donor to a tax credit of 35% of the donated amount, applicable to the gross tax due for the year in which the donation was made, using the methods specified above.

Associated activities and initiatives
Breaking the silence to stop extortion: door-to-door in Cardillo and Tommaso Natale
We felt it worthwhile to launch, starting today in the areas of Cardillo and Tommaso Natale, “door-to-door” initiatives aimed at shopkeepers in the borgate.
After the reports filed in the Noce neighborhood, alongside the other victims and organizations involved, a business owner and a construction worker also join Addiopizzo as civil parties
On April 30, 2026, we joined the case as a civil party alongside a business owner and a worker who, with Addiopizzo’s support, stood up to extortion attempts suffered in the Noce neighborhood of Palermo.
