Due to the gravity, complexity and widespread diffusion of the extortion racket phenomenon in the Italian economy, I believe that the entire social, economic and cultural fabric in which economic agents operate can and must play an active role in the fight against protection racket;

THEREFORE, AS A CITIZEN AND CONSUMER AWARE OF MY POWER AND MY RESPONSIBILITY, I COMMIT MYSELF TO CHOOSE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES PROVIDED BY ENTREPRENEURS, TRADERS AND PROFESSIONALS WHO DO NOT PAY THE PIZZO OR WHO HAVE REPORTED THE EXTORTION DEMAND TO THE POLICE.

I also ask that the government and law enforcement renew their efforts to protect the safety and economic activity of those who have had the courage to report illegal activity. Finally, I urge all political parties to take concrete and transparent steps that help against the problems related to the Mafia extortion racket.
