It is a collective practice that encourages citizens and consumers to support businesses that refuse to bow to Mafia intimidation and extortion.
The Mafia-free business network is made up of shopkeepers, artisans, and entrepreneurs backed by a supportive community, breaking the sense of isolation and discouraging any potential retaliation from organized crime.
Joining the network is completely free.
As consumers, choosing to support these businesses is not only a moral duty but also an accessible and powerful way for everyone to contribute to Sicily’s collective struggle for freedom from Mafia oppression.
